   I have read numerous books on optimisation and this one is ok. It has some useful visual aids to help understanding. However it fails in the same way that every other book in the market in that it does not give enough detail or information for you to properly carry out the things that they recommend. I am constantly asking myself “exactly what should I be doing” because it lacks specific instruction or tips to enable you to do the job properly. I therefore start to question whether they know themselves. I bought this book because it appeared to have a lot of detail on each subject, but sadly like all others, spends too much time on the obvious points then stops short of the specifics of how to go about doing it in the real world. There are many times when the content seems so vague and that they have not thought it through properly with explanations that would otherwise make it useful.

   Another observation is that the content becomes a bit of a parody in that many of the things referred to seem only to apply to big corporate companies, hardly the sort of customer to read this book. However as a small business, doing seo ourselves (and this is surely the target market to read such a book) I find myself thinking that certain recommendations will be useless for the typical small business, something that is not addressed or acknowledged in this book. What annoys me slightly is that the reviews provided on the inside page are way different from mine and seem to totally over promise on the delivery in reality.
